Did you know you can visit our greenhouse this time of year? While our seedlings and new transplants aren’t for sale yet, our gift shop is open and you are always welcome to take a walk through the greenhouse to sneak a peek of Spring!

Do you still have a FULL 2023 Frequent Gardener’s Card—or do you have a bunch of partial 2023 cards that add up to a FULL 250+ points? Today was *technically* the last day to redeem them, but we have decided to extend the expiration date to the second Friday in January! Important note: Partial cards that do not add up to 250 points can no longer be added to, and are considered expired. After January 12th, we will only honor 2024 cards.

It is November 15th! You may now put out your winter decorations at Evergreen Cemetery—and the weather couldn’t be more favorable (at least today, anyway!) We have high quality metal stands, fresh wreaths, and artificial wreaths for sale. Did you know? If you have an old artificial wreath that looks a little weathered, we can fix it up for you—for just the cost of materials!

We love when folks give us a little show and tell! This lovely couple brought in their 30lb Kossak Kohlrabi today! They aren’t sure if they want to use it for kimchi, or maybe try making kohlrabi slaw. Feel free to share your favorite kohlrabi recipe, or post pictures of your gardening prowess in the comments below 😁👍

Have a FULL 2022 Frequent Gardener’s Card, but you didn’t have time to come in and redeem your $20 reward? Don’t fret! We will be having a grace period starting Monday, January 2nd and ending Friday, January 13th. Don’t throw away your FULL 2022 cards yet!!

Lots of folks ask us, “when do you guys close for the season?” To which we always answer “never!” There is always work to be done to prepare for the next season. This last week we got a special delivery all the way from Uganda! Several boxes of fresh rieger begonia cuttings to be stuck and rooted, so that they can eventually be transplanted into hanging baskets. These must be started early, that way our baskets are blooming by Mother’s Day!

We are officially out of boughs to make containers with, and we will complete our final restock of wreaths this week! There is still a great selection of evergreen containers—but supply is going to dwindle quickly, as we will not be making more. Thank you all for turning out to our holiday open house this year! It was a record breaker! We appreciate your patronage and support 🥰

They’re baaaaaacck 🤩🥳 The dog days of Summer are officially over and it’s time to admit it: Fall is imminent! Our popular late season bushel baskets are freshly planted up and include a mix of plants that will look great until the frosts come!

ORNAMENTAL PEPPERS! What are they? Well, they are just like any other pepper, except that they are cultivated for their looks, rather than their taste. While ornamental peppers are edible, they are not known to have a very appealing flavor or texture. They sure are easy on the eyes though!😍 Ornamental peppers are annuals in our climate and can be used in beds for a late season pop of color. They also look great on their own in a pot, or as a fun textural element in a mixed container!
